Welcome to Ardas Driving School. By booking our services or using our website, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before proceeding.
1. Booking & Scheduling
- All lesson bookings are subject to instructor and vehicle availability. We will confirm your booking via phone or email within 24 hours.
- Lessons are scheduled in one-hour blocks unless otherwise specified by the course package.
- Students must hold a valid British Columbia Learner’s Licence (Class 7L) or Novice Licence (Class 7N) before their first in-car lesson.
2. Pick-up and Drop-off
- Pick-up and drop-off may be offered as a courtesy at the discretion of Ardas Driving School and the assigned instructor. Availability is not guaranteed and depends on the student’s location, route logistics, instructor schedule, and other operational factors.
- The final pick-up and drop-off location, route, and timing are determined by the instructor at the time of booking confirmation. Students will be advised of pick-up arrangements in advance of their lesson.
- Pick-up is generally provided within Abbotsford. Locations outside the standard service area may be declined or accommodated at the instructor’s discretion, and may incur additional fuel or travel charges, communicated at booking.
- Ardas Driving School reserves the right to modify or withdraw pick-up service for any individual lesson or student without notice for safety, weather, scheduling, or operational reasons. In such cases, the student will be offered a meeting point at a public location near their address.
- Students must be ready at the confirmed pick-up location at the scheduled time. A wait of more than 10 minutes may result in the lesson being shortened or cancelled at the instructor’s discretion, with no refund.
- Pick-up and drop-off does not constitute a transportation service or commercial ride; it is a courtesy provided in connection with paid driving instruction only.
3. Cancellation Policy
- 24+ hours notice: Free cancellation or rescheduling with no penalty.
- Less than 24 hours: A cancellation fee equal to the full lesson cost will apply.
- No-show: If you do not show up for a scheduled lesson without prior notice, the full lesson fee will be charged.
- Ardas Driving School reserves the right to cancel or reschedule lessons due to inclement weather, vehicle maintenance, or instructor unavailability. You will be notified promptly, and no charges will apply.
4. Payment
- Payment for individual lessons is due at the time of booking or before the lesson begins.
- Package payments (10-Class Package and any custom packages) must be paid in full before the first lesson, or according to an agreed payment plan.
- We accept cash, e-Transfer, credit cards, and debit cards. All prices are in Canadian Dollars (CAD) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
5. Student Requirements
- Students must bring their valid Learner’s or Novice licence and any required corrective lenses (glasses or contacts) to every lesson.
- Students must be in a suitable physical and mental condition for driving. Lessons will be terminated if the student appears to be under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any impairing substance.
- Students under 19 years of age must have a parent or guardian sign the enrollment agreement.
6. Safety
- All lessons are conducted in dual-control, fully insured vehicles that meet ICBC safety standards.
- Students must follow all instructions given by the instructor during lessons. The instructor may take control of the vehicle at any time for safety reasons.
- Seatbelts must be worn at all times during lessons. Lessons will not proceed if the student refuses to comply with safety requirements.
7. Liability
- Ardas Driving School carries comprehensive commercial insurance covering all in-car lessons.
- We are not liable for any damages arising from the student’s failure to follow instructor directives or traffic laws.
- The student is responsible for any traffic violations (tickets, fines) incurred during lessons, unless caused by instructor error.
- We do not guarantee that students will pass their ICBC road test. Our training is designed to prepare students, but results depend on individual performance.
8. Refunds
- Individual lessons: Refundable only if cancelled with 24+ hours notice.
- Packages: Unused lessons within a package may be refunded at a pro-rated single-lesson rate, minus a $50 administrative fee.
- Refunds are processed within 10 business days via the original payment method.
9. Satisfaction & Service Quality
- Ardas Driving School is committed to delivering quality driving instruction and working with each student to meet their learning needs. If you are not satisfied with a lesson, please contact us within 7 days so we can address your concerns — we may offer a replacement lesson, an alternate instructor, or other reasonable accommodation at our discretion.
- Marketing language such as “committed to your success” or “satisfaction” refers to our service philosophy and is not a binding warranty, guarantee of test results, or guarantee of refund. Refund eligibility is governed exclusively by Section 8 (Refunds) above.
- Driving instruction outcomes depend significantly on student practice, attendance, attitude, and individual aptitude. Ardas Driving School makes no representation or warranty that any student will pass the ICBC road test or achieve any specific skill level within any specific number of lessons.
- Any complaint must be raised in writing (email is acceptable) to ardasdrivingschool@gmail.com within 7 days of the lesson in question. Verbal complaints, social-media posts, or third-party reviews do not constitute a formal complaint under these Terms.
10. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
